Katie has been a fighter throughout her legal career, gaining a reputation as a fierce adversary and advocate. An immigrant from Ukraine, Katie came to the United States at the age of 10 and fully immersed herself in the English language and American culture. She graduated from George Washington High School in Northeast Philadelphia, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Temple University in 2004, and obtained her Juris Doctorate from Penn State Dickinson School of Law in 2008.
Katie has been practicing law since her admission to the New York Bar in January 2009. She began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Brooklyn, where she fought for the victims of crimes, specializing in the prosecution of assaults, burglaries, and robberies, for over 6 years.
In 2015, Katie moved back to Philadelphia and was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar. Before joining Kwartler Manus, Katie transitioned from criminal law to personal injury litigation and worked as a Senior Trial Attorney for a personal injury defense firm for 6 years. She handled a large caseload, specializing in motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and dog bite cases.
Katie’s extensive litigation experience gives her a unique perspective when representing her clients. Her careful attention to detail and ability to quickly adjust to any situation has enabled her to achieve numerous successful jury verdicts. She has also successfully argued before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.
Katie enjoys fitness and nutrition, and is training to compete in her first bodybuilding competition. She speaks fluent Russian and lives in Philadelphia with her husband and two children.
