Daad Sharfi has been awarded the Kwartler Manus 2020 Public Interest Scholarship

PHILADELPHIA, P.A. (September 25, 2020)— In order to help students take a thoughtful approach to their college selection process and assist with education-related expenses for the 2020-2021 collegiate year, Kwartler Manus, LLC. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania offered a $1,000 scholarship opportunity for an incoming or current law student interested in pursuing Public Interest Law.

The law office of Kwartler Manus, LLC. would like to announce that it has selected Ms. Daad Sharfi, NYU, as the recipient of The Kwartler Manus Public Interest Scholarship for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Ms. Sharfi, the outstanding awardee for the 2020 Kwartler Manus Public Interest Scholarship, is an immigrant from Oman, who settled in the United States at the age of thirteen. Having grown up in an area of Chicago densely populated by foreign-born immigrants, her experiences with poverty, unobtainable access to education, prejudices, profiling, and immigration have compelled her to pursue a law degree at New York University’s School of Law. She has made a difference for those in her community by holding the positions of Community Fellow and Accredited Representative with the Immigrant Justice Corps, Fellow at Coro Pittsburgh, Peer Liaison with the Afro American Cultural Center at Yale, and Fellow at Primo Center for Women and Children. Her background in assisting fellow migrants has compelled her to pursue law school with the hope of becoming a fearless advocate that works in partnership with the community.

Please join the Law Office of Kwartler Manus, LLC. in congratulating our outstanding 2020 scholarship awardee! We wish her educational, professional, and personal success!

The New Jersey Law Journal Names Joshua Kwartler a 2020 New Jersey Trailblazer

By Hank Grezlak, Regional Editor-in-Chief

The New Jersey Law Journal has named Kwartler Manus’s Chief Operating Officer, Joshua Kwartler, a legal industry “Trailblazer” for 2020, in its second annual feature highlighting change agents in the profession who have had noteworthy impact through their legal practices, management and policy, or technological advancements. Mr. Kwartler has been recognized for his implementing a client communications platform utilizing his unique talents in the technological space.

When Joshua Kwartler became Chief Operating Officer at Kwartler Manus, LLC in 2018, he realized the importance and benefits of using a texting app to communicate with clients on a regular basis; to just check in, receive and deliver important case communications, or follow up on client treatment plans. Over the past few years, Mr. Kwartler has been developing an app, created on the Salesforce.com platform, to provide an additional method of communication to the firm’s clientele. Having developed his technology over the last 18 months, he has now partnered with the practice management platform, Litify, to adapt the app and make it more widely available. “We are calling it ‘Hi There’. We see real benefits from being in touch with our clients in this way.”

To learn more or find out how your firm can implement this industry-leading technology, contact Joshua Kwartler at (267) 457-5570 or by emailing [email protected].
