Rescuers and police were called to the scene of an accident in Talleyville, Delaware, recently. That is where they found three people had suffered injuries after a car slammed into the building.

The accident happened just after 10 a.m. along the 100 block of Brandywine Boulevard. Reports indicated that a person driving a car slammed into the Apex Realty Building. The driver was taken to the hospital for injuries. Two other people in the building at the time of the accident also required medical attention. There was no insight into the seriousness of their injuries, but all were expected to be okay. Police are investigating why the incident happened.

Why Accidents with Buildings Happen

An accident involving a car that was not stopped and slammed into a building can be a complicated one. Investigators will gather witness information on what they saw or experienced. This includes questioning the driver to determine if they had a medical condition or incident, fell asleep at the wheel, were impaired, or distracted at the time of the accident. Details about the condition of the vehicle, such as the overall condition of the brakes and tires, are considered. Visibility and conditions on the roadway may also contribute.
