Victim in Motorcycle Crash Taken to Hospital in Douglas Township

A motorcycle accident recently took place in Douglas Township, Pennsylvania. Though police initially provided limited information, the crash caused at least one injury. The incident took place at about 7 p.m. at the intersection of Route 73 and Elm Street in Montgomery County. There is no indication of what caused the crash initially released.

Motorcycle versus car accidents are often devastating, and motorcycle riders may face a very difficult recovery. A full investigation is necessary to determine what caused the motorcycle accident. Often, intersection accidents with motorcyclists occur when a driver fails to give the motorcyclist the right of way or does not observe the presence of the motorcycle. Driver distraction can also be a factor.

Victim Transported to the Hospital

Though initial reports did not say who was transported to the hospital in this accident, it is very common for these types of accidents to result in serious injury to the rider, who may be thrown from the bike.

There are many times when the motorcycle rider is also at fault. This could be due to lane splitting, illegal tailgating, or making a turn without the right of way. The complexities of these accidents make it challenging for either party to determine who is to blame.
