According to news reports, a U-Haul driver struck a woman and then fled the scene. The accident took place in the 1800 block of East Cambria Street in Kensington. According to police, the incident began at around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Kensington and Allegheny Avenues.
Both of the drivers reportedly got out of their vehicles. The U-Haul driver then got back into the vehicle and fled the scene of the incident. That is when the U-Haul driver took a left-hand turn too quickly and lost control of the vehicle. The U-Haul truck then went over the curb and struck a pedestrian who was on the sidewalk nearby. The pedestrian lost their life as a result of the accident.
