Two Injured in Middletown Township Dump Truck Wreck

Langhorne-Newtown Road was closed late Monday morning after a dump truck and van collided at the intersection, trapping at least two drivers. The rescue team from Middletown Township, PA, arrived on the scene to find a dump truck resting on top of a vehicle. Two people were trapped in the vehicles, and both drivers had to be extracted. Crews also had to navigate hazardous materials at the scene.

Commercial truck accidents involving dump trucks like this can be devastating. If the driver loses control, not only is the truck a deadly weapon moving at a fast rate of speed, but its cargo is often unsecured, leading to potential additional risk. If you are in a car accident with any type of commercial vehicle, protect your rights with the help of a local truck accident attorney.

An Accident Still Under Investigation

Police were unsure what had happened initially. The accident blocked the intersection at the Newtown Bypass for several hours as crews worked to clear it. There was no initial report on the driver’s condition or the accident’s underlying cause.

For victims in commercial driving accidents like this, knowing how to pursue a claim is challenging in itself. You may be eligible for worker’s compensation claims if you were on duty at the time of the accident or if the other driver caused the accident.
