Truck Driver Leaves Scene of Crash He Didn’t Know Occurred

A three-car accident took place in Southampton, New Jersey. One of the parties, a truck driver, did not know that he was involved in the accident and left the scene of the incident, according to police. The accident on a Sunday afternoon left a motorcycle rider dead.

In many situations, drivers may not be aware of the injuries they cause. However, police investigations, supported by the help of a Burlington County car accident attorney, may be able to turn that around and find all parties involved.

Motorcycle Rider Hit

According to the investigation completed by the Burlington County police, a motorcycle rider struck a Honda CRV as both vehicles were traveling northbound on Route 206. This caused the motorcycle to overturn and sent the rider into the oncoming path of a tractor-trailer. The tractor-trailer driver did not stop at the time of the accident. He told police he did not know that his vehicle had been impacted.

The trucker was identified through an investigation by the police, who did not provide specifics on how they tracked down the driver. However, the truck driver is said to be cooperating. The motorcycle rider was a 67-year-old man from Hainesport.
