The southbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway were impacted by a serious crash on Wednesday morning during the rush hour in Bass River Township. The New Jersey State Police and other emergency personnel were dispatched around 6:30 am for a motor vehicle crash near the New Gretna Toll Plaza. It looked as though one of the vehicles involved suffered heavy damage.

Footage from SkyForce10 showed only one lane blocked due to the serious wreck. However, not long after the initial footage was shown, you could see all lanes blocked headed southbound towards the toll plaza. It is not known what caused the crash. One person had to be taken to the hospital via ambulance for undisclosed injuries. One lane was reopened to traffic shortly after 9 am and traffic was moving slowly through the area.
