Details About the Route 42 Accident
The Washington Township Police Department posted pictures of a serious multi-vehicle crash on their Facebook page on Wednesday afternoon. The post featured three pictures of heavily damaged vehicles in different areas of the highway just outside of Nifty Fifty’s, which is on the northbound side of Route 42 in Gloucester County.
There was no word on the number of injuries between the three vehicles involved or how the crash occurred. Police asked that any witnesses contact Ofc. John Freitag at jrfreitag@pd.twp.washington.nj.us with information about the crash.
Securing a Witness After a Crash
If you are not seriously injured in a crash, you should do your best to secure a witness who can inform the police as to what occurred. Do so by writing down their name, phone number, and email. Ask them to remain at the scene so they can talk to responding police officers and provide a statement. If you are too injured to find a witness immediately after the crash your personal injury attorney can assist in finding witnesses in the days after the accident.
