Roosevelt Boulevard Crash Injures Police Officer and Pedestrian

A Nissan Altima allegedly drove over the Roosevelt Boulevard median in Philadelphia, causing a crash with police cars. Police are looking for the driver who led them on the chase that also left several people recovering from injuries.

Philadelphia Police Pursue Vehicle at Illegal Car Meet

According to reports from the Philadelphia Police, police officers were dispersing cars that had gathered for an illegal meet on Bustleton Avenue just before 11 p.m. In doing so, they pursued a stolen Nissan Altima. The vehicle drove over the Roosevelt Boulevard median and then crashed into two police vehicles. It was involved in another vehicle crash that left a 35-year-old man injured after he struck a utility pole.

A police officer was also injured in the series of events. Both victims were in the hospital recovering. The accident occurred near the intersection of 9th Street and Erie Avenue. Police continue to investigate the incident.
