According to Ridley Township Police Capt. James Dougherty, police and other emergency personnel were dispatched to West MacDade Boulevard at Fairview Road for the report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian around 9:37 PM Tuesday.
Upon arrival, police officers found a juvenile suffering from multiple injuries after being hit by a vehicle. The juvenile, who has not been identified, was treated at the scene by EMS and paramedics and then transported to a local hospital. The condition of the juvenile was not provided by authorities.
According to Captain Dougherty, the vehicle that hit the pedestrian initially left the scene of the accident before returning. Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to call Ridley Township detectives at 610-532-4002. The accident remains under investigation, no charges have yet to be filed, and the driver has not been identified.
