The New Jersey Transit River Line took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report that service was down between the Riverton and Riverside stations. According to reports, a person was struck by the train in the 1800 block of Bannard Street in Cinnaminson, Burlington County.
In the announcement on X, the River Line service stated that the accident occurred because a trespasser was struck. Noting this, it is clear that the transit system believes the person struck was at fault. Many times, that is the cause of these accidents. However, a full investigation is still likely to ensure that all parties at fault are held accountable.
No Word on the Person’s Injuries
Neither the police nor the transit line released any information about the condition of the person struck by the vehicle. Shortly after, the service was back up and running.
Proving that the transit system was at fault can be challenging for victims of a transit accident. However, there are instances in which others may be to blame, such as if the warning lights did not operate or a mechanical error caused the accident.
Anyone who is a victim of a transit accident benefits from having an attorney review their case. With the help of a legal team, you can be sure you know who is at fault.
