According to a press release from the Washington Township Police Department, a pedestrian was struck in a hit-and-run around 2:30 am. Police, fire, and EMS personnel were dispatched to the area of Chestnut Ridge Middle School on Hurffville Crosskeys Road.
The initial investigation found that a vehicle made contact with a pedestrian walking on the southbound side of the road. The vehicle fled the scene immediately and is believed to be a 2020 – 2024 Hyundai Sonata based on debris left at the scene evaluated by detectives. The vehicle should have visible front-end, grill, hood and headlamp damage.
