Pedestrian Accident Injures One on Broad Street

Police were called to the scene of a car accident in the 35th District at 11:52 p.m. on a Wednesday evening. The accident involved a vehicle that struck a pedestrian.

Subaru Ascent Struck a Pedestrian

According to news reports, a Subaru Ascent vehicle was traveling northbound on Broad Street near the 5800 block when it came in contact with a pedestrian. The pedestrian was trying to cross the street at the time of the accident. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene while medical teams and police arrived. The pedestrian, a 59-year-old female, died at the scene.
