Police and fire personnel were dispatched to the New Jersey Turnpike interchange with Route 73 in Mount Laurel on Tuesday morning just before 6 AM for the report of an overturned UPS truck. Upon arrival, emergency personnel found the tractor trailer overturned and sitting on the grassy median of the on-ramp to the highway.
Police have said that the truck driver was attempting to merge onto the highway when his truck rolled over. The driver, 59, suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Rush hour traffic was slowed but still able to enter the highway using the right lane. The New Jersey State Police have not determined an exact cause of the crash.
