Fatal Hit and Run on Passyunk Avenue in Philadelphia

Police officers were called from the 12th District of Philadelphia to an accident that took place at the intersection of 61st Street and Passyunk Avenue. When police arrived, they uncovered a fatal hit-and-run accident that left a 28-year-old dead.

Police Find Man Suffering from Hit and Run Accident

According to the initial information available, police believe a verbal dispute occurred between the driver of a white Dodge Durango with tinted windows and the victim, a 28-year-old man, prior to the accident. The victim approached the vehicle and positioned themselves in front of it. The driver accelerated, struck the victim, and dragged him for about 100 feet. Witnesses report that the driver got out of the vehicle, looked at the victim, then got back in the car and fled the scene.

The incident occurred at about 3:20 a.m. in Southwest Philadelphia. Police are seeking additional information to determine who was involved. A reward is out for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the at-fault party.
