A fatal accident investigation is ongoing in Burlington Township, Burlington County, after a person was killed in a wreck this week on Route 541, according to a press release from the Burlington Township Police Department. Details About the Fatal Accident Investigation
The press release stated that on Tuesday, June 18th, around 8:14 AM, the police along with fire personnel were dispatched to the area of Route 541 and Kelly Drive for the report of an accident. After arrival on scene, police discovered an 83-year-old woman from Burlington Township seriously injured. She had to be removed from her vehicle by emergency personnel.
The woman was transported to Virtua Hospital in Willingboro where she died of her injuries. According to an initial investigation, the victim was driving north on Route 541 when her vehicle was struck by a Volvo driving south on 541. No charges have been filed yet in the crash as the investigation remains open.
