According to initial news reports, a Havertown driver operating their vehicle recklessly crashed into a fence before landing in a creek. Driver Tries to Cut Through Department Store Lot

The Havertown Police Department responded to a crash involving a vehicle whose driver tried to use a cut-through road near a department store and instead crashed into a fence before landing in the nearby creek. The incident occurred around 11:30 pm near the Kohl’s Department Store in Havertown.

According to reports, the cut-through is not a road but more of a path that runs between the store and the creek that links West Chester Pike and Route 1. Rescuers were able to save the driver who suffered bruises and cuts from the accident. Police were investigating the accident at the time of the news release and had not initially released more information on the driver.
