Associate Maksim Takhtarov
Maksim is an Associate Litigation Attorney at Kwartler Manus with more than ten years of experience representing individuals who have been injured as a result of negligence. He litigates personal injury matters throughout Philadelphia, the surrounding counties, and across the state of New Jersey, with a focus on motor vehicle accidents, premises liability cases, dog bites, house fires, and other complex injury claims.
Maksim is a seasoned trial attorney who approaches each case with precision, professionalism, and a deep respect for the trust his clients place in him. He is committed to providing thoughtful, thorough representation and works closely with each client to ensure they feel informed, supported, and confident throughout the legal process. Fluent in Russian, Maksim also proudly represents Russian-speaking clients, expanding access to high-quality legal advocacy within the community.
As a member of an immigrant family, Maksim has strong roots in the Philadelphia area. He moved to Northeast Philadelphia in 1991, grew up across from George Washington High School, and currently resides in Montgomery County. His deep connection to the community informs both his legal practice and his dedication to client service.
Maksim earned his undergraduate degree from Temple University’s Fox School of Business, where he specialized in legal studies. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law, where he was a member of the Civil Law Clinic. During law school, he worked alongside Delaware Volunteer Legal Services to assist and represent victims of domestic violence, earning Pro Bono Graduation Distinction for his service.
In recognition of his commitment to excellence and client advocacy, Maksim has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2020 through 2026. He also serves as an Arbitrator for the City of Philadelphia’s Compulsory Arbitration Program, further reflecting his standing within the legal community.
