Associate Katie Koelsch
Katie is an Associate Attorney at Kwartler Manus, and a seasoned litigator who has built her legal career advocating aggressively on behalf of those she represents. Throughout her career, Katie has earned a reputation as a fierce adversary and dedicated advocate, known for her disciplined preparation, strategic approach, and meticulous attention to detail. Her experience spans prosecution, defense, and plaintiff-side personal injury litigation, giving her a distinct and well-rounded perspective in the courtroom.
Katie focuses her practice on representing injured individuals in matters involving motor vehicle accidents, slip and trip-and-fall injuries, dog bite cases, and injuries sustained in salons and spas, including burns and infections. She has successfully argued before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania and has secured significant results for her clients, including a one million dollar tender of policy limits for a client injured in a workplace fall resulting in serious back injuries. She has also obtained policy limit tenders in numerous dog bite cases, including claims involving minors and delivery personnel.
Prior to joining the firm, Katie spent six years as an Assistant District Attorney with the Kings County District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, New York, where she prosecuted assaults, burglaries, and robberies on behalf of crime victims. She also brings six years of experience as in-house defense counsel for a major insurance company, along with four years representing injured clients in personal injury litigation. This breadth of experience allows her to anticipate defense strategies and position cases for successful outcomes.
Outside of her practice, Katie speaks fluent Russian and maintains a strong interest in fitness and nutrition. She is a competitive professional bodybuilder and lives in Philadelphia with her two children.
