Associate Joseph M. Hauschildt Jr.
Joseph is a Trial Attorney at Kwartler Manus with more than a decade of experience handling complex personal injury litigation. His practice focuses on representing individuals and families harmed by negligence, including matters involving premises liability, negligent security, trucking and commercial vehicle accidents, and motor vehicle accidents.
Before dedicating his practice exclusively to representing injured plaintiffs, Joe spent the first five years of his legal career practicing civil defense litigation. During that time, he defended corporations and insurance companies in high-stakes personal injury cases. This background provides Joe with a distinct strategic advantage — allowing him to anticipate defense tactics, identify weaknesses early, and leverage insider knowledge to pursue maximum compensation for his clients.
Joe is known for his zealous advocacy, both in and out of the courtroom. In addition to being a skilled trial attorney, he is an accomplished legal writer whose persuasive briefs have produced successful outcomes at both the trial and appellate levels. His attention to detail and command of the law enable him to effectively advance his clients’ interests at every stage of litigation.
Equally important to Joe is building strong, personal connections with the people he represents. He prides himself on being approachable, direct, and honest, and believes that finding common ground — whether with clients, adversaries, or judges — is often key to achieving the best possible outcome. Joe develops customized litigation strategies tailored to the unique circumstances of each case, ensuring his clients feel heard, informed, and confident throughout the legal process.
Prior to entering private practice, Joe clerked for the Honorable William E. Nugent, J.A.D., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. He earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Widener University Delaware School of Law, where he served as an Articles Editor for the Widener Law Review and received numerous academic and clinical honors.
Outside of practicing law, Joe is a devoted dog lover and an accomplished musician and guitarist.
