Associate Jill Cantor-Burns
Jill was born and raised in Philadelphia and has practiced law in and around Philadelphia her entire career. Jill graduated from Northeast High School in Northeast Philadelphia in 1999. She is also a graduate of Widener University with bachelor’s degrees in Criminal Justice, Psychology and Sociology. Jill then obtained her Juris Doctorate from Widener University Delaware Law School in 2006. Jill clerked for the Honorable Raymond A. Batten (Ret.) in Cape May County, New Jersey, her first year out of law school.
Before joining Kwartler Manus, Jill practiced personal injury defense for over a decade almost exclusively in Philadelphia County. Most recently Jill was the Managing Attorney of the Philadelphia Office for a national insurance carrier, handling the company’s personal injury litigation throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Jill’s diverse experiences in the personal injury realm have enabled her to advocate for clients in creative and effective ways. She prides herself on ensuring that clients feel seen and heard and that they know their attorney is fighting for the best possible outcome on their behalf. Jill has successfully settled hundreds of personal injury cases throughout her career.
Jill enjoys running, fitness and creative design. She is on the Board of Directors for her religious institution and serves on several of its sub-committees. She is also heavily involved in the home and school association of her children’s school, having served as HSA president for two years in a row. Jill volunteers with a Philadelphia based organization called “Small Things” helping raise money for meals, serving meals and collecting and distributing essential supplies to the unhoused population of the city.
