Wrong-Way Crash at Jersey Shore on Route 70

One-way roads can be very dangerous if someone does not obey the signage and ends up traveling on them in the wrong direction. According to a dash cam video, a recent situation like this played out in Jersey Shore.

According to the news reports, a driver was traveling the wrong way on a busy street in the area when they hit another vehicle. A witness to the incident stated they saw the driver’s headlights coming towards them on the roadway and recognized that the driver was putting others at risk.

After noticing the headlights, it was only seconds later that the car crashed into another vehicle that was right behind the witness. The driver of the wrong-way vehicle eventually stopped, but the witness was noted for trying to prevent injuries to others who may not have noticed that driver.

An Ongoing Investigation Continues

This accident occurred at the intersection of Route 70 and Burnt Tavern Road in Brick Township. According to police, no one knows what caused the driver to travel in the wrong direction, though an investigation is ongoing.
