Brothers Killed When Vehicle Plunges Off of I-95

A tragic accident took place on the Interstate 95 overpass in Port Richmond recently. Police reports indicate that a Mazda vehicle was traveling along the highway when it went over the side of the overpass. The vehicle had four brothers in it. The vehicle struck the pavement below. Two of the brothers in the car died at the time of the accident.

The incident caused the vehicle to land on Castor Avenue below the interstate overpass. The incident, which took place at about 8:30 p.m., led to the car plunging 20 to 30 feet before it crashed. Aerial footage of the accident scene showed a damaged vehicle and a portion of the guardrail along the overpass missing.

A disastrous situation like this has no explanation, and it may be challenging for the family to know what to do. Protecting loved ones could be important, so it could be important to contact a Philadelphia car accident attorney.

Two Ejected from the Vehicle

Accident information showed that the two people in the back of the vehicle were ejected at the time of the accident. They both died from their injuries. The two parties were taken to the hospital. They were said to be in critical condition.

Upon further investigation, witnesses reported that the Mazda was racing a Dodge Challenger at the time of the accident. They hit the guardrail at a very high rate of speed. Though police have not confirmed the situation, street racing was suspected.
