Fire Engine Responding to Call Involved in Accident in Chester

On a recent morning, the Chester Fire Department responded to a home in the 800 block of Elsinore Place on a report that a carbon monoxide incident was occurring. A few minutes after arriving, the fire truck (a pumper) collided with a passenger vehicle that was traveling at Ninth and Barclay streets.

The passenger vehicle’s driver was hurt in the accident, and fire crews who were not hurt aided in supporting that patient’s needs. The driver was then taken to an area hospital.

Initial news reports did not provide insight into which vehicle struck the other or who was at fault for the accident. They also did not note the condition of either vehicle. Police continue to investigate, and their investigation could be critical for the victim if that individual believes the fire truck was at fault in the Delaware County truck accident.

Uncovering Details in a Complex Accident

It is difficult to determine who caused the accident involving the fire pumper and the passenger vehicle without analyzing more of the evidence at the scene. The attorneys for each party will do that, along with documenting any additional potential losses incurred beyond medical care. A full investigation completed by a third party like this may uncover insight into what factors contributed to the accident.

Although the injuries in this case were minor, they are injuries, and medical care in an emergency room is always expensive. If you are involved in a similar accident, you may want to call Kwartler Manus for legal support. Call today for a free consultation.
