Woman Slashed on SEPTA Bus

A woman suffered serious injuries after being cut with a knife by a man on the SEPTA bus. The event took place on the Route 48 bus near West Susquehanna Avenue and North 29th Street. Police reported the two were engaged in a verbal altercation prior to the incident taking place.

In a situation like this, bus companies could be held responsible if it is possible to show they were negligent in some way. If the victim can show that the bus driver or SEPTA itself failed to provide adequate and expected security to the passengers, they could be held responsible for the injuries and other losses of the victim.

At Kwartler Manus, our negligent security legal team works very closely with victims. We learn as much as we can about what happened, who was to blame, and why it took place. This allows us to then pursue full and fair compensation for all losses.

Details On the Stabbing Are Limited

In this particular situation, which happened in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood, a spokesperson for SEPTA stated that a woman was hurt with a knife after she got into an argument with another passenger. The event took place on a Friday afternoon. There was no insight into what the two were fighting about, but the man was taken into custody by police at the time of the stabbing. The woman is expected to recover.
