Friesmill Road the Scene of Fatal Wreck

The Washington Township Police reported that officers were called to Friesmill Road due to a reported accident involving a car striking a pedestrian. The responding rescuers found a pedestrian struck, but the vehicle had fled the scene. The pedestrian was crossing the street in the southbound lane of Fries Mill Road. Police are investigating to locate the driver. The victim died of their injuries after being transported to Cooper Hospital.

Wrongful death cases like this, especially those involving a hit-and-run accident, are incredibly challenging for family members. It may seem as if there is nothing that could be done to protect the family or seek justice for the victim. However, hiring a wrongful death attorney can provide you with legal guidance and insight into your options.

Victim Died as a Result of the Accident

The accident occurred around 8 p.m. After striking the pedestrian, the car left the scene. The police did not state why the accident occurred or if they knew who the suspect was who fled the scene. In Washington Township, anyone striking a person is required by law to remain at that location until help arrives.

Close family members have the right to be angry and frustrated when something like this happens. Hiring an attorney, such as our team at Kwartler Manus, can offer some legal insight into your options and may help push the investigation to the fullest level.
