Bus and Truck Collide in Lower Moreland Township

An accident involving a bus and truck in Lower Moreland Township, PA, left a person trapped under a vehicle, according to police reports. The bus was transporting students from the Lower Moreland Township School District at the time of the accident.

At about 5:30 p.m. on a Thursday, a pickup truck crashed into the bus near County Line Road and Buxmont Road. It took the rescue team more than an hour to get the truck driver out from under the bus. A student on the bus was also said to have minor injuries.

School bus accidents can be terrifying for all parties. In situations where your child is on a bus when an accident occurs, it may be the responsibility of the school district or the at-fault driver to cover the costs associated with those injuries. Hiring a truck accident attorney is critical to protecting your student’s rights in such a situation.

The Bus Was Mostly Empty at the Time of the Accident

A statement released by the school district said only a few students were on the bus at the time of the accident. The district provided school counselor availability for students who may need it the following day. There was no immediate update about the pickup driver’s condition or the cause of the accident.
