Woman in Wheelchair Killed in Hit and Run

A woman in a wheelchair was hit by a vehicle. That vehicle then sped off. This occurred in Montgomery County. The police are investigating the accident and have video evidence of the driver. The woman in the wheelchair died as a result of her injuries. The woman was a 61-year-old homeless person.

The accident occurred when a driver was speeding down City Avenue. It is not clear if the woman was in the crosswalk or on the sidewalk at the time of the accident, but she was struck with enough force to cause her to suffer severe injuries.

Victims struck by a hit-and-run driver who did not survive still deserve justice. That is why family should seek out the legal guidance of a Montgomery County car accident attorney to pursue legal options.

This Investigation Is Ongoing

The police are looking for a late model, 4-door Toyota Camry with tinted windows that they believe was involved in the accident. The driver got out of his car, checked the damage after the accident, and then took off. Neighbors in the area, some of whom also use wheelchairs, have been concerned about the risks to the area for some time. A passing motorist called 911 and stopped to help.
