SUV Crashes Into Wall of Oil Business in Burlington City

Crews had to work to free a driver through the side of the building he crashed into. The accident happened on South US Route 130 in Burlington City, New Jersey. When crews arrived, they found a vehicle lodged in the side of the Cenco Heating Oil & Propane building.

Firefighters Rescued the Driver Through the Building

Rescue Engine 9061 and BCFD Station 906 responded to the accident at about 12:40 a.m. They found an SUV almost fully inside the business, which is a brick building. The driver of the SUV was trapped. Local EMS crews worked to free him and transported him to a local trauma center.

This accident also caused additional damage. The driver not only took down a traffic light, but they also hit a natural gas line. These types of accidents could have been deadly for many people involved.

There was no official word on the cause or the driver’s condition. It took about an hour for the crews to get the site controlled and safe.
