Rideshare Passenger Dies in Car Accident

The 45-year-old rideshare driver may be facing serious charges after making an illegal left-hand turn onto a busy, winding road and striking two other vehicles on Kelly Drive. With no left-turn signs posted, the rideshare driver, like others who have been in similar accidents at the same location, ignored the warnings and took the illegal turn. Police also said that the rideshare driver was not traveling at the posted 25-mile-per-hour speed limit.

The accident killed a 41-year-old man, one of four passengers in the rideshare vehicle at the time of the accident. The illegal turn caused another vehicle to strike the rideshare vehicle head-on, forcing it into the path of an oncoming vehicle.
