The New Jersey State Police and other emergency personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Route 206 and Jacksonville Jobstown Road around 10:30 AM Wednesday. The accident involved two passenger cars and a tractor trailer.
According to an initial investigation, a Jeep traveling south on 206 veered off the road onto the grass. When the vehicle came back onto the roadway at the intersection it hit a Nissan. The Nissan stopped in a field close to the intersection. The Jeep then struck a tractor trailer.
The woman in the Nissan had to be extricated from her vehicle by firefighters and was flown to Capital Health in Trenton by a medivac helicopter. The driver of the Jeep was flown to Cooper University Hospital in Camden. The intersection was closed for hours as officials conducted an investigation. The conditions of the drivers are not known at this time. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured in the crash.
