About the NJ Transit Bus Accident
Police and other emergency personnel were dispatched to the parking lot of Harbor Square on the Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township around 10 PM Thursday night for a reported bus accident. According to police, an NJ Transit bus hit a pole in the Boscov’s parking lot.
The bus hit a light pole after departing a pick-up point in the rear of the Boscov’s. Seven people on the bus were treated for various injuries. Six of the seven people were transported to local hospitals. The seventh person declined to be taken to the hospital.
The driver of the bus was cited for careless driving as a result of the crash. Responding to the scene to assist were the New Jersey Transit Authority; EMS crews from Egg Harbor Township, Northfield, and Pleasantville; and AtlantiCare ALS along with the Egg Harbor Township Police Department.
